Mo’Nique Wins Best Supporting Actress Oscar For ‘Precious’

Mo’Nique has won the Oscar for best supporting actress for her role in the drama “Precious: Based on the Novel “Push” by Sapphire.” Mo’Nique is the 16th African American actress to receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress and the fifth black woman in history to win it, the other 4 actresses are Hattie McDaniel, Whoopi Goldberg, Halle Berry and Jennifer Hudson. Keep In mind people, that Oscar’s are for ACTING the convincing portrayal of a “character” and in that department, she most definitely brought it all the way home. Enjoy your win Mo’Nique, it was very well deserved.
