Dolly Parton is set to star alongside Queen Latifah in the new musical comedy Joyful Noise. The 64-year-old country singer – best known for her acting roles in the movies “Nine To Five” and “The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas” – will return to the big screen for the movie about two women who join forces to prevent a small-town gospel choir from shutting down.

“Devil” is a supernatural thriller about a group of people trapped in a elevator that later come to realize that the devil is among them. M. Night Shyamalan “The Last Airbender” helmer, only serves as producer alongside Sam Mercer instead of directing this particular film. The movie features Chris Messina, Logan Marshall-Green, Jenny O’Hara, Matt Craven and Bokeem Woodbine. Devil is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters September 17th, 2010. Angela Bassett Set To Return To The Big Screen In Green Lantern

Angela Bassett has joined the cast of “Green Lantern” as villainess Dr. Amanda Waller, sometimes referred to as “The Wall.” True Fans of ongoing DC Comics storylines will recognize Waller as the head of the Suicide Squad. The character first appeared outside of comics in an on-going capacity on “Justice League Unlimited” the latest incarnation of “Justice League“.

Green Lantern, directed by Martin Campbell (GoldenEye, Casino Royale), will also star Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins, Mark Strong, Taika Waititi, Temuera Morrison, Jay O. Sanders and Jon Tenney. Warner Bros will release this highly anticipated film in 3D and 2D theaters on June 17, 2011. I can’t wait! Angela Bassett as a villain, definitely makes this movie a must see.
